Andrew J Rodda’s Random Strangers expands on Andrew J Rodda’s solo performances, opening for acts like Karise Eden (winner of the inaugural Voice) into a fully fledged band, featuring Ryan Aberle, Jake Costin, Jim Glaister, and Tom Sterle.
The Random Strangers have been kicking up a storm around town and have just released their first song together, “Stay” ( a homage to a fallen friend ). Random Strangers are continuing recording tracks towards a full album including songs about the dodgy weather in Queensland, the arduous twisting journey we all walk, and querying the stereotype of being a man. Fans of Boy and Bear, Elliott Smith and Travis are sure to enjoy Random Strangers’ cleverly crafted original pop rock tunes.
Random Strangers’ live shows are always full of great grooves, humour and fabulous musicianship, leaving crowds shouting for “Happiness is a Full Tank of Petrol”, and I’m told, singing it next time punters fill up.
